Nationwide AviationKWEA

At Nationwide Aviation, we are focused on providing first class personalized flight instruction. Our philosophy on training is based on the immersion method: where you completely immerse yourself in the subject for complete understanding and correlation. Having your instructor for an entire day allows you to train at your pace, fast or slow and also allows us to offer instruction at a discounted rate. This is how flight training should be and we look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

The FBO building has free WIFI access, a flight-planning computer, DirectTV, small conference Table for flight training, and snacks for purchase.

Operator Procedures

Fueling Aircraft

On field fueling is located at the main FBO building at the North end of the field. All major credit cards are accepted, and pilots can contact our “888” number for the current fuel price. If you would like the fuel filled only to the “TABS” (17 gallons per side) for your rental, to conserve payload, please contact us ahead of your rental and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Access to Aircraft

If a flight instructor is on-duty and available, the aircraft will be relocated to the main ramp for your rental. When scheduling your rental, inquire as to the location for pick-up at your rental time.

If a flight instructor is not on-duty or available the aircraft location and instructions for obtaining the aircraft key will be distributed once the pilots checkout has been confirmed.

Returning the Aircraft

Typically the aircraft can be returned to the main ramp when a flight instructor is on-duty and available. Please, however, confirm this with the flight instructor when picking up the aircraft at your rental time.

When returning the aircraft when a flight instructor is not on duty or available the aircraft can be returned to the hanger. Instructions for hanger/aircraft key location will be distributed once the pilots rental has been confirmed.

Getting Reimbursed if You Buy Fuel Elsewhere

Fuel reimbursement is available up to the current price per gallon at KWEA.

Mechanical Problems at Another Airport

If mechanical issues arise away from KWEA please call (888) 459-8440 or Trevor Hall directly at (940) 390-0532 and we will be happy to rectify the issue as soon as possible.

Securing Aircraft

The hanger has 3 tie-down locations (each wing & tail), as well as a pitot tube and prop cover. Please insure that these items are attached to the aircraft so it is then ready for the next customer.

Caution areas where hangar rash is most likely

When renting the aircraft for the first time, one of our flight instructors will meet you at the aircraft to insure you are comfortable with moving the aircraft in and out of our hanger.

What fuel load to expect and how to change it

Aircraft will be full (25 gallons per side) when normally renting the aircraft. If you would like the fuel filled only to the “TABS” (17 gallons per side) for your rental, to conserve payload, please contact us ahead of your rental and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Typical TFR considerations

TFR’s can pop up over AT&T Stadium (Dallas Cowboys) and The Ballpark in Arlington (Texas Rangers) on game days. Both of the stadiums are located approximately 30 NM East of KWEA. Be sure to consult a flight briefer when your flight path is in this area for the most current TFR information.
